What Do We Mean Beware Of Cheap Laptops?

Cheap Laptops are causing grief among consumers and computer repair technicians. Unfortunately, we live in a time where technology is everywhere and most consumers are doing more computing on phones and laptops. Laptop sales are growing every day, but there is a misconception that computers have gotten cheaper, but the real truth is the industry has come out with slower, lower-powered solutions to fit tighter budgets. Quality computers and laptops have not changed much in price. So, if you bought an $800 laptop in the past, we recommend spending about the same today on a laptop with the right features.
So Why Are Those Cheaper Laptops Bad?
In our service department, we see many of these cheap laptops come in too often. One of the biggest reasons is they don’t have enough storage or they are just too slow for everyday tasks. You have to understand that in order to meet a certain price point these laptops have to sacrifice certain features or performance factors and in most cases, the cheaper laptops don’t give you options for upgrading those lesser features. Also, the cost, if you could upgrade, would put you higher than if you would have purchased the more expensive laptop. Cheap laptops take longer to fix causing high bench fees during service.

- 5400RPM SATA Hard Drives
- Flimsy Construction that Breaks Easy

- 8GB of Ram Memory
- A 128GB SSD for Storage, 250GB SSD or Larger Preferred
After being in business since 1994, we understand that everyone has a budget, but we want to make sure you purchase a laptop that will be worth using. Even for home use, your time is valuable and the longer you are waiting to complete tasks on your computer, the more time you are spending away from loved ones. If your business is buying cheap laptops, at the end of the day time is money. The same concept applies the more employees have to wait for their computer, the less productive they are in completing the task.
